OpenDots conversations can select OpenAI, Anthropic, Cline Pass, custom HTTP endpoints, or local Claude/Codex subscription CLIs. Readiness checks use the selected slot and report missing configuration or retired models before a turn starts.

The subscription paths use the installed SDK types, host login checks, per-conversation working directories, and the required sandbox middleware. They scrub service credentials from child environments, stop owned children on pause/cancel, and return bounded errors without nested provider payloads. Subscription execution remains local development only.

Varlock validates startup configuration and protects sensitive values. The Windows launcher avoids the installed telemetry shutdown crash. Both Docker runtime targets include the schema and launcher.

Five nature themes cover the shell and document editor. The selector persists preferences, initializes before paint under CSP, and handles denied browser storage. Rendered checks cover actual chat Markdown, editor controls, and narrow layouts.

Validation:

  • Environment check, typecheck, lint, and client/server build pass.
  • All 267 tests pass across 41 files, including 26 actual SDK/subprocess harness regressions.
  • Browser verification passes 143 scans and 7,616 contrast checks across five themes at 320, 375, and 1440 px.
  • Delivery formatting and staged diff checks pass. An unrelated, untracked imported handoff snapshot is excluded.
  • Final independent review found no remaining actionable findings.

Live provider account turns and container startup remain unverified. Docker's daemon was unavailable. Vite reports a bundle-size warning. The dated review receipt is in docs/reviews/2026-10-03-provider-and-theme-review.md.
